Only You

by | Jan 17, 2025 | Poetry

Aging for me reverts in more ways than one
I want nothing, only you
I feel nothing, I am nothing, only you

This is a world where worlds surround
Everyone, yet isolate others
Life’s beauty stifled by our thoughts
And actions, our true selves, smothered

Unsolved traumas and hurt must be faced
Not carried or concealed, but replaced
Not only you, but me and others too
Life is ours, a shared journey anew
