Mixed Beats of Love

by | Jan 17, 2025 | Poetry

I love deeply, defining purity,
But prioritizing health, I must be free.
No fake love for me; I dive in whole,
Though it hurts, leaving me to unfold.

The aches pulsate confusion and pain,
A weight that’s crushing, overwhelming my frame.
I blame myself; love’s a choice I make,
Yet trust has lost its meaning, leaving heartbreak.

I test my heart, but feelings subside,
Leaving emptiness, a hollow inside.
Should I stop loving? Is it worth the strife?
Choice is tough; love cuts like a knife.

I cry, but my heart absorbs the tears,
A burden too heavy, weighing through the years.
Love, please leave me; I need to breathe,
To live, to find me, and break free.
